The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial management activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support business growth. The role involves mentoring junior staff and collaborating across departments to optimise financial processes. Responsibilities Lead the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts with precision and timeliness. Analyse financial data using various accounting software Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organisational policies. Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide detailed reports highlighting variances and trends. Support financial management activities including cash flow forecasting, cost analysis, and profitability assessments. Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal controls related to financial reporting. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and assist in implementing audit recommendations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in financial management within the financial services sector.
