The Role
As a maintenance engineer, you will be an integral member of the repairs and planned preventative maintenance service, working directly with the head of maintenance, ensuring repairs are carried out effectively, efficiently and in accordance with the standards set out by the company.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Following instructions from the maintenance department regarding the daily schedule of jobs
Attending properties to carry out proactive and reactive maintenance repairs
Completing jobs to a high standard in accordance with service level agreements
Recording job progress reports and completing job reports manually or electronically as set out by the company
Accurate collation of data for each job (photos/videos/descriptions)
Ensure planned maintenance and breakdown activities are monitored and any delays logged and escalated to the maintenance service team
Prioritise work scheduled (if required)
Ensure material and supply stock levels are always maintained within your vehicle
Ensure that the highest levels of customer service are fully implemented to achieve customer satisfaction guaranteeing complaints are handled with empathy and professionalism
Any other relevant duties as requested by other departments
Updating information on PDA system via Field Service and other software
Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge and experience working in temporary and emergency accommodation
Demonstrate substantial experience in multi-skilled trade repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, plastering and decorating.
Experience with working with vulnerable individuals or in a similar position.
Clean driver's license
DBS checked
Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
Close attention to detail
Strong administrative skills
Working with own initiative without close supervision and as part of a team
Work flexibly to meet the varying demands of the role to achieve agreed outcomes
Excellent customer service skills
