THE EMPLOYER IS: THE CHOCOLATE MANOR Location - The Chocolate Manor, 3 Main Street, Castlerock Chocolate Production: Creating a range of handmade chocolate products to our exact specifications, as well as supporting colleagues in retail, packaging and experiences as required. Tasks will include the preparation of tempered chocolate, the production of a range of chocolate products, maintenance and cleaning of the workshop, adherence to all hygiene, health and safety requirements, completion of HACCP documentation. Retail Duties: Whilst the role will mainly be chocolate production, the post holder will be required to support with The Chocolate Shop. Tasks will include: Greeting and serving customers as they enter the shop; Advising and assisting customers with choosing our chocolate products and artisan products; sharing product knowledge; Providing a high level of customer service; Receiving personalised chocolate orders; Conducting customer transactions, including till operation; Replenishing the supply of stock on the shelves and updating production team on stock levels for production; Assisting with shop deliveries; Maintaining cleanliness of the shop; Follow all Health & Safety and relevant HACCP procedures. Customer Service: The post holder may also be required to support Chocolate Experiences on occasion. Tasks will include greeting and checking in experience participants; Prepping materials before experiences - setting up experience space and ensuring all required materials are ready; Cleaning up after experiences - general clean up, washing and ensuring all materials are left ready for reuse; Assisting experience facilitator as required; Preparing refreshments for participants as required; Follow all Health & Safety and relevant HACCP procedures. Previous chocolate production experience is not essential as full training will be given, but preference will be given to applicants with previous professional kitchen experience or food production experience. This role will involve both team work and independent working. We will prioritise applicants who demonstrate a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to contribute to a small, hardworking team. We are happy to offer flexibility in how hours are worked, where possible, to support applicants in balancing other commitments. While any previous experience listed in this vacancy is welcome, it is not essential, as full training will be provided. This role would suit someone who is interested in learning new skills, gaining hands-on experience, and playing an active role in the success of a small local business.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
* Ability to work as part of a team in a busy production environment.
* Basic time management skills and reliability.
* Good personal hygiene and awareness of food safety standards.
* Ability to carry out repetitive tasks with care and consistency.
* Basic communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to follow health and safety procedures.
* Physical ability to stand for periods of time and carry out light manual tasks.
Desirable Skills
* Physical ability to stand for periods of time and carry out light manual tasks.
* Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or food production environment.
* Experience with chocolate production, such as tempering chocolate or working with confectionery products.
* Background in hospitality, including Front of House roles.
* Retail experience, particularly in customer-facing environments.
* Strong customer service skills, with an interest in delivering a positive customer experience.
* Sales experience or confidence in engaging with customers and promoting products.
