Responsibilities
* Provide skilled interventions per the physician‑approved plan of care under the direction and supervision of an occupational therapist
* Document each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards
* Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment and any change in condition to supervising OT, physician, and staff
* Provide patient/caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs
* Promote wellness and prevention through occupational engagement
* Demonstrate knowledge of community resources/services
* Recommend follow‑up care in coordination with the admitting care center
* Stay current on occupational therapy trends and knowledge for service provision and documentation skills
* Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in the assigned state
* Graduate of an ACOTE‑accredited occupational therapy assistant program
* Eligible to take or have completed the NBCOT entry‑level certification exam
* One year of related occupational therapy assistant experience (or approval from regional clinical leaders plus mentoring/residency if less)
* Current CPR certification
