The Operator 3, Machine Molding (MO3), is responsible for coverage of breaks, planned time off, and unplanned absences. The MO3 operates molding equipment to safely manufacture the required quantity and quality standards of finished product to meet customer specifications. Additional responsibilities may include process oversight and supporting line operators when needed.
SHIFT HOURS:
Wednesday 1:00pm - 7:15pm and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 7:00am - 7:15pm.
Key responsibilities include:
* Perform duties of an Operator 2, Machine Molding
* Line Operator coverage as needed for breaks, planned time off, and unplanned absences
* Operate multiple packaging lines and/or molding equipment
* Identify improvements per KPI's
* Communicate through Team Boards and with leadership team
* Perform Machine setup
* Perform advanced preventative maintenance and repairs in partnership with Technicians
* Conduct product quality control checks on assigned positions
* Enter performance confirmations and shift information into SAP
* Review/confirmation of shift paperwork
* Assist in the "Pull Sheet" process as needed
* Perform Master Sanitation
* Fill in for Item Changeover Coordinator as needed
Minimum qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* Mechanical ability/aptitude, a plus
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Math skills
* Computer skills; Excel and SAP, required
* Class 3 Fork Lift and Handcart certification, required
Preferred qualifications:
* Minimum three (3) years manufacturing experience
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
* Training in Quality/Sensory and Chocolate tempering
Physical requirements:
* Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods
* Bend, squat, stretch, reach frequently
* Climb stairs often
* Lift minimum of 50 lbs often
* Work in various weather conditions and temperatures
* Work at heights and in noisy environments exceeding 85 decibels
