Job Title: Level 2 Nursery Assistant (Agency Worker)
Location: Various Nurseries in Guildford
Salary: Competitive and based on experience
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Level 2 Nursery Assistants to join our agency team. As an agency worker, you’ll have the flexibility to work across a range of nurseries, providing high-quality care and supporting early childhood education for children aged 0-5. Your role will be pivotal in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Assist with planning and providing creative, educational activities for children.
6. Support children’s development and learning through play and structured activities.
7. Help ensure children are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for at all times.
8. Assist with basic routines such as meal times, naps, and hygiene.
9. Work collaboratively with nursery staff to meet the individual needs of the children.
10. Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children and team.
11. Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of the children.
Essential Requirements:
12. Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
13. Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
14. Passion for working with young children and supporting their learning journey.
15. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
16. Ability to adapt to different nursery settings and environments.
17. Current DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Desirable Skills:
18. First Aid qualification.
19. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
20. Understanding of child safeguarding policies and procedures.
