- training and long term career prospects We are looking for Traffic Management Operatives who possess the following qualities: Reliable and punctual In possession of a clean, full driving licence Willing to work out of hours, including evenings and weekends when required Comfortable working in all weather conditions Calm-natured and able to remain composed in demanding situations Safety-conscious Should demonstrate: A flexible approach to work Enjoyment of working as part of a team Patience and the ability to stay calm under pressure The ability to accept constructive criticism and perform well in high-pressure environments Sound knowledge of local roads and good map-reading/navigation skills Physical skills such as mobility, coordination, and a high level of fitness and stamina Effective communication and customer service skills Willingness to undertake relevant training and development A strong commitment to health and safety for both team members and the general public Requirements: You must hold a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card to work onsite A full driving licence is required for most roles relating to Highways and Roads Availability for 4044 hours per week, including unsocial hours such as evenings, nights, and weekends Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and work overtime when needed Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Deliver and install traffic management equipment to customer sites Train customers in the correct use of equipment and ensure safe operation Check returned traffic management equipment and complete the necessary documentation Maintain and repair traffic equipment as needed Report and manage incidents Undertake vehicle recovery operations Escort abnormal loads Participate in relevant training and development Working Environment: You will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
