They are currently seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and highly motivated individual to join their growing Ocean Freight team, based at the company’s busy and modern office in Felixstowe. This is a fantastic chance for someone eager to develop their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will bring excellent communication skills and a strong willingness to learn, combined with a genuine interest in the freight forwarding and logistics industry. A minimum of one year’s experience working in a freight forwarding environment is preferred, although candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and ambition will also be considered.
Import Clerk key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing enquiries by obtaining and issuing competitive freight quotes on behalf of clients and overseas partners, ensuring a professional and timely response
2. Processing and setting up new jobs on the company’s bespoke in-house system with accuracy and attention to detail
3. Booking export shipments directly with shipping lines and carriers, ensuring all arrangements meet client requirements and timelines
