Senior Application Architect
Location: Glasgow – hybrid working. Employment type: Full-time.
ScottishPower, part of the Iberdrola Group, is seeking a Senior Application Architect for SP Energy Networks.
Overview
The Senior Application Architect supports the ongoing development of the Digitalisation Strategy for SP Energy Networks (SPEN). This ensures architecture and data deliver the processes to support the business’s strategic goals. SPEN has a complex application estate covering IT and OT which requires continuous evolution to deliver the digital services that support the business operation. Examples of the types of application deployed include Regulatory, Customer Service, ERP Plant Management, GIS, Field Work Management, Operational Management System and Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities
Within this role, you’ll design and implement the enterprise architecture framework, including data, application, integration and technology architectures, focusing on the introduction of new digital technologies such as IoT, bringing significant customer and stakeholder value.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across ScottishPower’s IT teams, IT Architecture team, data governance and intelligence teams and the global networks business to ensure enterprise architecture is defined according to the wider Iberdrola architecture model.
The role holder will also establish and enforce architecture standards, policies, and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance, assessing the breadth of delivery across SPEN from an architecture and design perspective to ensure strategy alignment and best value solutions and economies of scale are gained from IT investments.
The Architect will lead in defining business-specific architectures, including evaluation, selection and integration of necessary standards, patterns, models and technical components that support the defined functional and non‑functional requirements.
You’ll support the applications and standards where possible across Iberdrola Networks businesses, and support the delivery of SPEN’s Innovation activities covering idea identification, business case production, management, and delivery of approved innovation projects.
Qualifications
* Experience supporting the development of D&D strategies.
* Experience of enterprise-wide Technical and Solutions Architecture from ...
* Identifying strategic requirements, evaluation of required IT solutions.
* Technology selection and solution design.
* Significant IT experience gained from working in a number of application‑based roles.
* Record of academic achievement, including some form of recognised qualification from further education, such as a degree or diploma.
* Experience of budgets or contracts with suppliers.
* Willingness to travel internationally on business.
* Driving licence.
