The PrimaryCare Navigator is a key part of the practice team, ensuring patients arewelcomed and supported efficiently, with empathy and professionalism at alltimes.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Greetpatients and visitors politely and professionally
Answertelephone calls, manage queries and transfer calls as necessary
Book,amend and cancel appointments via SystmOne
Deal withrequests for urgent appointments and signpost appropriately
Handleface-to-face, telephone and online queries in a calm and efficient manner
Ensureall messages and communications are accurately recorded and passed on tothe appropriate staff
AdministrationDuties
Manageincoming and outgoing correspondence, including scanning and filing
Assistwith prescription requests, referrals, and online communications
Processtasks and messages via AccuRx, Communication Annex and Emails
Updatepatient records accurately in line with GDPR and confidentiality policies
Maintainthe reception and waiting room area in a tidy and welcoming condition
Systemsand Software
Confidentlyuse SystmOne, AccuRx and Emails
Carry outregular checks on appointment books, clinics, and tasks
Supportclinical and management staff in the smooth operation of daily workflow
Teamworkand Flexibility
Bewilling to work flexibly to cover sickness or annual leave when required
