Salary: From £32,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

We now have a fantastic opportunity for Class Teachers to join our close-knit team at Wessex Lodge School, part of Acorn Education, within Outcomes First Group. This role involves responding to the needs of individuals with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs, helping them flourish and thrive.

Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging learning on a daily basis, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom.
* Observe, monitor and assess students, ensuring their personal development and wellbeing are as important as the academic curriculum.
* Work creatively with the extensive resources and support available from Outcomes First Group and Acorn Education.
* Collaborate with fellow professionals within the school and with pupils’ previous educational establishments as needed.
Qualifications
* UK QTS or equivalent
* Previous experience with pupils with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs is desirable

Wessex Lodge School comprises three sites: Wessex Lodge Primary School (Kilmington), Wessex Lodge Secondary School (Frome), and Newmead Farm (Maiden Bradley). The schools provide curriculum variety including animal care, horticulture, DT, and forest school for students aged 6 to 18 with individual needs, supported by THRIVE.

*You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, for the 4-Day Working Week trial, subject to successful probation. 4DWW is not a contractual benefit and is subject to probationary conditions.
