Qualified Social Worker
Family Help
Location: Greater Manchester
Pay rate: £37 per hour
We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our dedicated Family Help Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our client's social work team in Greater Manchester as a Family Help Qualified Social Worker. Your role will involve providing support to families before issues escalate to require more intensive social work intervention.
You should be a qualified and registered social worker with a solid understanding of childcare legislation, statutory guidance, and frameworks. Responsibilities include complex decision-making, risk assessment, ensuring the safety and welfare of children and young people, and utilizing your professional judgment, critical reflection, and evidence-based tools. Creativity and innovation in using a range of social work interventions to minimize risk and improve outcomes are essential, as is ensuring the child's voice is heard throughout.
You should be confident in building and maintaining positive relationships, with excellent communication and engagement skills.
As part of this team, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening where support is needed to provide help at an earlier stage. The role involves collaboration with agencies such as police and health services to achieve the best outcomes and sustainable positive change.
