About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Lead to take full ownership of the endoscopy service within this brand-new hospital.
You will:
• Provide both clinical and operational leadership
• Lead the development and expansion of endoscopy services
• Shape patient pathways from pre-assessment through to recovery
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team
• Drive quality, safety, and governance standards
• Play a key role in achieving JAG accreditation
Working closely with the Theatre Manager and senior leadership team, you’ll have real influence over how the service is designed, delivered, and developed.
Responsibilities:
• Provide strong clinical leadership and promote best practice
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the endoscopy service
• Ensure safe staffing levels and effective resource utilisation
• Manage patient flow, list coordination, and service efficiency
• Act as a clinical expert across the full endoscopy pathway
• Recruit, train, and develop the endoscopy team
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture
• Support budget management and equipment procurement
• Lead governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Manage incidents, complaints, and risk appropriately
• Support CQC readiness and regulatory compliance
• Lead on JAG accreditation and continuous service improvement
What can you bring?
• NMC registered Nurse with strong endoscopy experience
• Previous leadership or senior clinical experience
• Strong understanding of endoscopy pathways and patient care
• Experience managing and developing teams
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in governance, audit, or quality improvement
Desirable:
• JAG accreditation experience
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) qualification
