B&Q Designate Trading Team Manager – Romford area
Permanent contract – 36.75 hours per week
Up to £33,000 per annum (plus £0.81 per hour store‑specific allowance) + bonus + pension + 6.6 weeks holiday
Every day we give our millions of customers the ideas, advice, tools and confidence they need to create a home they’ll love. As a Trading Team Manager you will be pivotal in driving commercial delivery of the sales floor and coaching colleagues to fulfil B&Q’s ambition to make every customer count.
Overview
Full time, part‑time or job share. We’re passionate about progression and committed to growing talent from within. As a designate manager you will spend 3–6 months working across a cluster of stores in the Romford area, learning about our business and gaining management training before being placed into your own department or store within 50 miles of your home. Some flexibility and travel will be required.
Role
A great team needs a great leader. In this role you will:
* Drive commercial delivery of the core trading sales floor, leading end‑to‑end stock management, range change and promotions.
* Conduct regular commercial reviews using sales data, loyalty insights and customer feedback.
* Support colleagues to build deep product knowledge and meaningful customer interactions so every customer counts.
