The post holder will be required to work across Conwy working in partnership with Conwy County Borough Council supporting the Conwy Family Centre’s providing specialist domestic abuse support to adults, young people and children. The post holder will be based in our Colwyn Bay office.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To work directly with the Family Centres in Conwy, liaising with the Family Centre Support Teams to provide specialist domestic abuse support to victims in a variety of different settings.
2. To deliver specialist therapeutic group programmes to victims.
3. To provide 1-1 trauma informed emotional and practical support to victims
4. Conduct specialist risk assessments and safety planning with victims.
5. In collaboration with partners explore opportunities to work directly with Children & Young People.
6. To promote survivors’ rights to make individual choices, ensuring their involvement in decision making and the awareness of rights and responsibilities whilst using DASU services.
7. To keep accurate records and input client information onto the Case Management Database.
8. Ensure any issues in relation to safeguarding are reported appropriately, in line with DASU’s policy and procedure.
9. To participate in regular line management, supervision, training and meetings as required.
10. To participate in DASU ‘on call’ rota on a voluntary basis and take TOIL and annual leave entitlement with care to ensure that the project has adequate cover in place.
