Role Title: Lecturer in Esports
Location: Deeside
Contract Type: Fixed term - 30/06/2026 Part time 0.55 FTE, 20.35 hours per week
Salary: £32,304, to £49,934 (Pro rata) (this is the full time salary, salary will be pro rata depending on working pattern)
Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine.
Coleg Cambria is seeking a Lecturer in Esports to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Esports at Level 1.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Esports and be able to teach a range of subjects including game mechanics, strategy and tactics, and teamwork and communication. You will also be responsible for creating and delivering innovative and engaging teaching materials, ensuring that the curriculum is up-to-date and relevant to the needs of our students.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential. You will also have a strong commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and learning.
Essential Requirements
1. A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification
2. Educated to a minimum Level 4 qualification
3. Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
4. Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment

Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
