About The Tax Assistant (Placement Year) Role

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us on a Tax Placement in our Lewes office for 12 months commencing July/August 2026.
This is a great opportunity to experience the role of a Tax Accountant first hand from our award nominated team of experts. You will have the opportunity to gain insights into personal and corporate tax compliance and advisory work within a structured and supportive learning environment.
What you can expect on a tax placement:
To assist in the preparation of personal, partnership, trust and company tax returns and computations for a variety of clients
Assist on capital gains tax returns
Reviewing accounts to ensure that clients are compliant with current tax legislation
Assist the tax team with various submissions and payment deadlines throughout the year and senior members of the team with tax advisory work
Studying a relevant course at University, Accountancy & Finance related is preferred but other courses will be considered
Proficient use of Microsoft applications
Good planning and organisational skills
Genuine interest in a future career in Tax
