We are seeking enthusiastic and proactive staff to join our Estates Team as a Relief Assistant Caretaker within the Barnsley area (West Region). The role is ideal for those who enjoy a flexible schedule and want to contribute to the well‑being of young people.
About this Role
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure a high level of customer service and to adhere to procedures such as health and safety, COSHH and risk assessments. The position provides daytime working only, no weekends or evenings, and can be tailored to fit around existing commitments.

Working Flexibility
Hours can be arranged to suit your schedule, including suitable arrangements during school holidays (summer, half terms, Easter and Christmas) to accommodate childcare needs.
Qualifications & Checks
All posts are subject to enhanced DBS checks and a pre‑employment screening process including references, an online search for shortlisted candidates and, where relevant, prohibition from teaching, childcare disqualification and section 128 checks. Applicants barred from engaging in regulated activity with children are ineligible. Overseas candidates who have lived or worked abroad in the last five years must provide overseas criminal record checks.
