Job Title: Nurture Teacher (1:1 Support – SEMH)

Pay: £30–£32 per hour

Are you a compassionate and dedicated teacher who wants to make a genuine difference in a child’s life?
We are seeking an experienced Nurture Teacher to provide 1:1 teaching and emotional support for a child with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties in the Garstang area. This rewarding role involves delivering personalised learning within a residential home setting, supporting a child who may be disengaged from traditional education.
About the Role:
* Deliver tailored, creative 1:1 lessons aligned with the child’s individual needs and interests
* Support emotional regulation and promote positive engagement in learning
* Build a consistent, trusting relationship through a nurturing and patient approach
* Adapt teaching strategies to re-engage a disengaged learner
* Work collaboratively with residential staff and other professionals to ensure holistic support
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
* Have experience working with children with SEMH needs
* Be compassionate, consistent, patient and caring
* Be passionate about making a meaningful difference
* Be flexible and available for part-time hours
* Be comfortable teaching within a residential home environment
* Be skilled in engaging disengaged learners through their personal interests
