The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Individual Needs Assistant to work 1:1 with a bright, high-level autistic child in Key Stage 1 who experiences behavioural challenges.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping one child access learning in a way that works for them—by providing structure, trust, and stability.
About the Role
* Work one-to-one with a pupil with autism and behavioural needs.
* Support both academic progress and emotional well-being.
* Provide a consistent, predictable presence that builds trust and reduces anxiety.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver personalised strategies.
* Use proactive, positive behaviour management approaches.

The Ideal Candidate
You will be:
* Calm, consistent, and fair in your approach.
* Experienced (or confident) in working with autistic children and/or those with behavioural needs.
* Patient, positive, and clear in setting expectations.
* A team player—able to follow structured plans but also respond flexibly with empathy.
