Senior Advisor, Global Mobility – Human Resources
What is the opportunity? We are seeking a seasoned expert to join our team as a Senior Advisor, Global Mobility (UK). In this role you will shape the relocation experience for employees in the UK region, leveraging the Global Mobility Centre of Excellence in Toronto to deliver tailored guidance and support to stakeholders, HR partners, and advisors.
What will you do?
* HR Generalist 50%: Serve as a regional talent mobility specialist, providing expert guidance on relocations into the UK, Channel Islands, and other European locations. Collaborate with HR partners and businesses to ensure seamless mobility experiences while maintaining compliance and managing risk. Facilitate the formalisation of employment contracts for permanent transfers. Coordinate work authorisations, sponsorships, and visas, including expiration and renewal tracking. Provide quarterly reports on open mobility cases and monitor talent mobility information for compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
* Immigration 25%: Provide immigration support to UK regional offices, ensuring seamless employee immigration experiences for student programs, sponsored work permits, and entry visas. Collaborate with vendors to provide accurate guidance to hiring managers and employees. Serve as a point of contact for immigration law firms, executing and training stakeholders on best practices, timelines, and compliance responsibilities. Offer expert guidance on visa queries, extensions, and approval management, leveraging subject matter expertise to ensure compliance and efficiency. Proactively identify risks and opportunities to improve internal practices.
* Global Mobility 25%: Collaborate with the Global Mobility Centre of Expertise, Immigration Advisors, and Relocation Management Company to support relocations in and out of the region. Serve as the central point of contact for GM CoE on administrative needs related to Non‑Resident Board of Director Travel Day Validations. Partner with the Mobility Tax team to finalize annual authorisation lists and invoicing approvals. Offer advisory support to the business, HR partners, and employees on talent moves and new hires. Act as a liaison between transferring employees and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination. Work with GM COE and vendors to finalize cost estimates, approvals, and letters.
What do you need to succeed?
* Must‑have: Undergraduate degree or related experience in Human Resources, Global Mobility, Immigration, or Law. Experience managing employer‑sponsored immigration case files and compliance. High attention to detail, partner orientation, and advisory experience within an HR or mobility function. Ability to lead discussions with senior leadership and provide high‑quality advisory support. Capacity to manage a diverse caseload and prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Commitment to ongoing self‑development.
* Nice‑to‑have: MIM, CERC, GMS, or HR certification. Human Resources or Paralegal designation.
