About the role:
Your role involves comprehensive management of contracts, including cost control, budget analysis, and quantity surveying. You oversee the production of budgets, valuations, and final accounts, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing. You manage subcontractors from order placement to payment certification, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with financial controls. Monitoring key performance indicators and maintaining professional communication with stakeholders are crucial. Additionally, you uphold high standards of Health & Safety and company policies, while being flexible to cover absences and attend meetings and training sessions as needed.
Key Criteria:
* UK full driving licence
* Construction knowledge
* Previous experience as a quantity surveyor
* Knowledge of NHF
* Knowledge of NEC, JCT, and other forms of contracts
* Qualification in HNC or equivalent
All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
All roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before employment begins.
