Responsibilities
* Ensure all site activities are undertaken in compliance with McLaughlin and Harvey SHEQ policies and procedures
* Assist with and ensure setting out is done on site to the contract drawings.
* Produce weekly / monthly progress reports as appropriate
* Communicate programme risks to the management team and maintain records for contractual correspondence
* Ensure accurate daily records including site diary are maintained and communicated for labour, material and plant, including subcontractors
* Communicate McLaughlin and Harvey policies and procedures to subcontractors and ensure these are being observed
* Ensure the management team are kept appraised of variations to the works and any matter likely to have commercial or contractual implications
Typical Week
How will I spend an average working week? You'll be putting into practice what you've learned at university, working on a range of high-profile projects and playing a key role in delivering projects on time and under budget.
Qualifications
* Relevant bachelor's or HNC/HND students in Civil Engineering or related disciplines Degree
* Open to living away from home
* Excellent communication & negotiation skills
* High levels of organisational skills
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Excellent numerical, IT and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work on initiative with minimum supervision
* Hold a full UK driving licence
