We're recruiting for a temporary-to-permanent outdoor pig stockperson for a pig farm in Oxfordshire, OX13.
The farm is a family-run, 3rd-generation, well-established agricultural business specialising in pig production and arable.
The top-performing breeding-to-finishing unit operates an RSPCA-Assured high-welfare pig production system with 900 sows.
The owner runs a modern farm with continual investment in people and training.
The temporary position is scheduled to begin in January. A permanent offer could be made to the right person after a period of time.
Duties include (depending on experience):
* You will work as part of a team on day-to-day pig duties in outdoor breeding.
* Serving
* Farrowing
* Checking pigs, injecting/drawing out sick pigs, checking feed and water supply
* Keeping basic stock and medicine records
* Loading/sorting pigs
* Assist in maintaining the highest animal welfare and environmental standards
* Telehandler skills
Salary from £30,000+ DOE
Plus:
* Free accommodation (No Bills) if not local to OX13.
* Travel expenses
* Daily subsistence expense (if applicable)
* 28 days Holiday
