Job Details
Location: Bucksburn Academy, Kepplehills Road, Aberdeen
Duration: Permanent, Part Time
PVG Membership: Roles that require PVG membership; candidates will be required to meet the cost of PVG membership. This applies to roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above: currently £31,505 per annum / £17.31 per hour).
PVG cost information: The Council will pay the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from the employee’s first full month’s salary payment.
Job purpose/about the role
To help promote effective learning, teaching, personal development and an atmosphere where pupils can achieve to reach their potential under direction and supervision. Committed persons required to support young people with additional support needs in a caring learning environment.
Minimum requirements
* PVG membership for regulated work with children and/or protected adults or a willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment being made
Postholder will demonstrate
* Proven oral communication, literacy and numeracy skills
* Empathy, patience and tolerance and to respond positively to a variety of additional support needs
* Establishing positive relationships with others
