Paralegal – Housing Management & Property Litigation
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £26,228
We’re currently partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit a Paralegal into their Housing Management and Property Litigation team based in Birmingham.
This is a great opportunity for someone with existing paralegal experience, ideally with exposure to housing management or property litigation.
About the Role
You’ll support Solicitors on a broad range of Housing Management and Property Litigation matters, while building your own caseload over time. Work will include supporting Registered Providers of Social Housing and private landlords on cases such as:
• Possession proceedings
• Rent arrears
• Breach of tenancy and anti-social behaviour
• Injunctions
• Disrepair claims
• Leaseholder matters including forfeiture
You’ll draft pleadings and witness statements, prepare trial bundles, manage deadlines, liaise with the court, assist barristers at hearings, and carry out routine County Court advocacy where required.
What They’re Looking For
• Minimum 2:2 in Law (or conversion)
• Strong drafting, research and written communication skills
• Good organisational skills, diary management, and attention to detail
• Confident communicator, able to explain legal points clearly
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure
• Proactive, accurate, and able to work with limited supervision
Desirable:
• LPC (completed or studying)
• Experience working with social housing providers or private landlords
• Previous exposure to County Court work
