Our Business Improvement and Change Team manage a wide range of projects which are helping to transform the way we deliver services to our residents.
The Team are looking for a Project Manager to manage a project related to the council’s children’s services function that seeks to make significant change and improvements to the council. Therefore, an interest in this area of work especially in supporting families with the early years of a child’s development would be useful.
You will need to be an experienced Project Manager who is good at working with multiple stakeholders across organisations. You will have responsibility for all aspects of delivering the project making sure that everyone that needs to be, is engaged and focussed on delivering the project to a successful conclusion.
You will need to demonstrate a track record of managing complex projects to a successful conclusion and have strong organisational skills as well as an ability to successfully manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.

Skills
Essential:
* Ability to manage multiple and complex projects.
* Organisational Skills - ability to prioritise workloads within timescales and meet deadlines.
* Task scheduling and prioritisation.
* Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and identify and manage constant change.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Proven knowledge and expertise in a project management approach to delivery of improvement and change.
* Detailed knowledge of the production of project management documentation.
* Understanding of the council's governance process.
* Up to date knowledge of computer systems.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Educated to degree level standard (including HND, professional/enhanced skill qualification) or equivalent or demonstrable work-related experience in appropriate areas.
* Professional qualification in programme/project management such as Prince 2 or equivalent.
* Experience of successful delivery of improvement and change.
* Experience of working on own initiative.
* Experience of working across multiple departments and organisations.
