About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It touches on our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Our residents are people with their own stories, and by joining HC-One you have a wonderful opportunity to give back to them.
For you, that will mean planning and implementing the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the team. You may demonstrate how to use a walking frame, support someone at the end of life, or communicate with a resident’s family, always with kindness at the forefront. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager and be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the rest of the team.
Qualifications and experience: ideally you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Social Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care or equivalent. A background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia is desirable. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people, along with good record-keeping and time-management. You should communicate with residents and co-workers in a considerate and kind manner.
