Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient utilisation of resources.
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment.
* Monitor food production processes to maintain consistency, presentation, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with management on menu development, ingredient sourcing, and inventory control.
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
* Assist in training new team members in food preparation techniques and service procedures.
* Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and culinary excellence within the team.
Experience
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing teams.
* Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and food safety standards.
* Experience in restaurant service including serving guests is advantageous.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
