Sales Engineer – Industrial Air

We are hiring for a well-established engineering company specialising in compressed air systems and industrial efficiency solutions is seeking an Industrial Air Sales Engineer to join its growing team. With decades of experience supporting manufacturing and industrial businesses, the company provides end-to-end compressed air solutions, including system design, installation, performance monitoring, and energy optimisation.
⭐The Role
You will play a key role in expanding market presence across the East of England by delivering tailored compressed air solutions to industrial clients. This is a field-based position offering autonomy to manage your territory while working closely with a collaborative internal team.
Key Responsibilities
* Grow market share across your territory by developing long-term relationships with industrial customers
* Manage the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to closing deals
* Conduct site visits and system assessments to understand customer requirements
* Prepare and present tailored technical proposals and solutions
* Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations
* Support customers through installation and implementation stages
* Provide responsive after-sales support to maintain high customer satisfaction
* Work closely with internal sales, technical, and service teams
* Support and motivate regional distributor partners
* Maintain accurate records of sales activity, market feedback, and pipeline development
✅Candidate Requirements
Experience within compressed air systems, industrial engineering, pneumatics, rotating equipment or related sectors would be beneficial.
* Previous sales experience, ideally involving technical products or capital equipment
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule and territory
* Strong organisational and planning ability
* Full UK driving licence
