Scaled Solutions Ltd. is a highly technical and innovative laboratory services business. The Director of Operations will support our global operations and ongoing expansion across the UK, USA, UAE and Malaysia. The position will be based at our head office in Livingston, Scotland, United Kingdom, with overall responsibility for operational delivery across all Scaled Solutions facilities.

Key Responsibilities
* Operational Delivery
o Maximise operational efficiency across all international regions through efficient allocation of resources and management of projects.
o Lead and coordinate ongoing operations overseas and within the UK facility by supporting current operational and technical managers to ensure work progresses within budget and delivers month‑on‑month financial delivery.
o Direct complex inter‑lab studies to maximise operational efficiency and capacity in partnership with other regions.
o Bring best‑in‑class experience and practices to the business.
* Financial Management
o Prepare and deliver the group’s annual operating and capital budgets in line with growth targets.
o Oversee company and group P & L accounts and cash flow.
o Maximise revenue generation and profitability by improving turnaround times of complex projects and ensuring efficient internal and client financial management.
o Improve efficiencies to further enhance financial delivery.
* Strategic Plan
o Work in partnership with existing Directors and senior staff to deliver against planned expansion and increased operational delivery.
* People Leadership
o Lead a team of 6‑10 direct reports and oversee a broader team of 50‑80 FTEs.
o Develop a culture that generates motivated, engaged and empowered individuals and attracts top quality talent.
* Compliance Delivery
o Ensure the company maintains its registration to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025, ISO 45001 and ESMA in UAE.
o Ensure H&S compliance is central to all aspects of the group’s operations.
Qualifications
* Essential Skills / Experience
o Experience as a senior manager / director of a group of inter‑related laboratories and/or international laboratories is critical.
o Minimum 5 years board or senior management experience in the oil and gas industry or a complex laboratory service company.
o Commercial experience of P & L, working capital and capital investment and delivery against capital projects.
o Experience and understanding of contract and project management within a production chemistry‑based laboratory.
o Direct experience managing operational delivery, including effective scheduling and delivery of multiple complex laboratory projects often requiring services from different labs and/or different international regions.
o Experience in people & culture development and leadership.
o Experience of best‑in‑class project management principles and techniques.
o Knowledge and responsibility for Health and Safety and ISO compliance.
o Direct experience in a production chemistry‑based laboratory and the oil and gas industry is advantageous.
