About the Role As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:
* Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity for KS5.
* Plan and deliver lessons that are practical, engaging, and aligned with curriculum objectives.
* Foster a love for food, nutrition, and healthy living.
* Ensure health and safety standards are met during all practical sessions.
* Support and mentor students of varying abilities to achieve their best.
* Work closely with the DT team to develop new resources and schemes of work.
* Engage in extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs, competitions, or events.
* Participate actively in professional development opportunities and department meetings.
Experience and Qualifications
* A degree in Food Technology or a related subject.
* QTS or PGCE in Secondary Education.
* A passion for food education and the ability to deliver high-quality, safe practical lessons.
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
