Overview
Work with York Limited are working with a client to find a qualified, experienced Social Worker for their Adult Social Care Services Reviewing Team. The role is based close to York city centre.
Contract
This is a temporary, 3-month assignment full time, Monday to Friday and hybrid working with a couple of days in the office for huddles and screening discussions.
About the team and duties
The work is varied and you will we working with working age adults and older people who may have physical health difficulties, mental health and/or learning disabilities. The is a variety of provision to be reviewed including community support, day services, supported living accommodation and residential and nursing care.
Compensation
Pay will depend on qualifications and experience. Holiday pay is accrued, a pension is included and there\'s online timesheets.
Responsibilities
* Core responsibilities, tasks and duties.
* Undertaking a strength-based re-assessment or review for individuals to maximize their independence and prevent, reduce, or delay the need for care.
* Safeguarding experience.
* Completing complex assessments and Mental Capacity Assessments.
* Having a good knowledge of Care Act, MCA legislation.
* Good analytical skills, sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2002 and excellent written English.
* To be highly motivated and committed to ensuring timescales are met.
* Able to work independently and balance conflicting priorities.
Essential skills and experience
* A relevant Social Work qualification
* A minimum of 5 years recent Social Work experience within an Adult Social Work team.
* IT skills, preferably experienced with Mosaic.
* Be eligible to work within the UK.
