Training Officer — Permanent. Salary Range (depending on experience): Officer – £30,374 - £35,996. Salaries will increase after 1st April 2025, in line with industry standards and recommendations.

Role
We are recruiting a permanent Training Officer based in the Edinburgh office with travel to sites UK wide. You will be responsible for designing and delivering high‑quality training programs, providing hands‑on instruction and supervision during excavations, surveys, and other fieldwork activities. It is vital that you are a good team member with a positive, enthusiastic approach to archaeology and an excellent eye for detail. You will also need to be self‑motivating, able to work independently and under your own initiative, and it will be necessary to work away from home with overnight stays.

About You
* Motivated, professional archaeologist who is interested in developing their career with a forward‑thinking company with high professional standards of work;
* Dynamic individual who will be central to the reputation, future growth and success of the Group;
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial archaeology;
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills;
* A passion for archaeology and a commitment to promoting ethical practices;
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office;
* Experience in designing and/or delivering training or educational programs;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach and inspire diverse audiences;
* Degree level qualification;
* A full, clean driving licence;
