Stores Assistant – FLT
We are currently looking for a Stores Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse team at our client’s head office in Woore. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a structured warehouse environment.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting and will be a team player who is organised, self-motivated and methodical. Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be comfortable with physically demanding tasks and have a good understanding of health & safety in a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities of this Stores Assistant – FLT role:
* Assisting with the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
* Picking and packing orders accurately
* Using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanning devices
* Maintaining stock accuracy and organised storage areas
* Supporting the wider warehouse team to ensure efficient operations
* Following all health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience required for this Stores Assistant – FLT role:
* Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or distribution environment
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work well within a team
* Awareness of warehouse health & safety procedures
* Willingness to undertake physically demanding work
* Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licences would be desirable
* Experience using WMS systems and handheld scanners
* Full UK driving license due to location
Details of this Stores Assistant – FLT role:
* 30 days holiday (including statutory) rising to 34 days after one year’s service
* Annual business performance bonus (non-contractual)
