Modern Apprentice Catering Assistant
Band 2 £24,647 - £26,763 (pro rata)
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 (pro rata)
30 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract for 2 years
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Catering Assistant (modern apprentice) within the Catering department at Uist & Barra Hospital.
Duties include food preparation and cooking (including specialised diets), food & counter service, stock control, and maintaining high hygiene standards. Formal catering qualifications, allergen awareness, and food hygiene certificates are expected to be achieved during the 2-year period.
Applicants should have a keen interest in catering, good communication skills, and a self-motivated approach. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in catering with guidance from an experienced team.
