HR Supervisor
Location: Belfast
Salary: £36,122 per annum
Contract: Temporary – until 31st December 2025 (possibility of extension)
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a busy Human Resources Office within a high-profile public sector organisation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a wide range of HR services and supporting the effective operation of the organisation's HR function. The HR Supervisor will rotate across several areas of responsibility, ensuring a varied and dynamic workload.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for:
 * Planning, organising, and co‑ordinating recruitment campaigns, including arranging interviews and supporting selection panels in line with policy.
 * Implementing an effective on‑boarding process for new staff and liaising with managers and key stakeholders.
 * Supporting the management of sickness absence, including maintaining data, generating reports, and liaising with occupational health.
 * Providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR policies and procedures.
 * Assisting in the review and development of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and good practice.
 * Co‑ordinating health and wellbeing initiatives and learning & development (L&D) activities.
 * Producing accurate management information and maintaining HR records in line with data protection standards.
 * Supporting casework processes such as disciplinary, grievance, and return‑to‑work interviews.
 * Liaising with recruitment agencies regarding agency worker placements and invoicing.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must, by the closing date, meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1
Hold a CIPD Level 3 Diploma in Human Resource Management (or higher) and have at least two years' experience of:
 * Providing administrative support for a range of HR services to tight deadlines.
 * Communicating HR policies and procedures clearly to staff and managers.
 * Building effective working relationships with stakeholders to deliver quality HR services.
 * Using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and HR Management Systems to produce accurate HR information and documentation.
Option 2
Have at least four years' experience in the areas outlined above (a‑d).
