Bankside Decor Limited are looking to hire a Pre-Print Technician to work within their digital wallpaper business.
Responsibilities Include:
* Following a structured workflow and internal processes.
* Creating job layouts for various roll requirements specified by the client (both wall murals and wallpaper).
* Artworking labels, pattern books, samples and promotional materials.
* Pre-flighting customer supplied artwork, correcting any file errors and ensuring that the correct .icc profiles are used.
* Working closely with clients on collection sign-offs
* Make colour adjustments in order to reach best match between client supplied proofs and final production print.
* Processing and ripping files to various printers within the department.
* Liaising with marketing design, marketing and print departments.
* Creating .icc profiles for new substrates.
* Generating the necessary assets for CGI and Marketing Department materials (brochure work, website images, social media etc.)
* Setting up jobs and adding new products to the company's Management Information System.
* Troubleshooting technical issues within the department.
Requirements:
* Good understanding of digital pre-print processes.
* Extensive experience using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office in an Apple Mac based environment.
* Knowledge of colour theory and experience colour matching.
* Proven experience of artwork creation and manipulation to a high standard.
* Familiar with ONYX and Xeikon X-800 RIPs.
* Good communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills, meticulous with a good attention to detail.
* Ability to work both as part of a team and individually, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of AVA would be beneficial.
