Our team services and advises clients across sectors including Professional, Property, Construction, Manufacturing and Logistics. We provide bespoke insurance solutions to a wide range of commercial clients from SMEs to corporates and are part of the JMG Group, with a client-focused ethos supported by high-quality service.

The opportunity
We have a brand-new opening for an experienced Account Executive to join our Northampton Commercial team. You will manage a small book of existing clients and grow a pipeline of new business across various lines of Commercial Insurance, while ensuring full FCA compliance. The role's purpose is to provide high-quality service to clients and to drive revenue growth for the business.
Responsibilities
* Retain existing clients through active client management
* Demonstrate knowledge and service delivery to build client confidence in Astute
* Identify and contact potential clients, converting to new business
* Communicate the firm’s proposition effectively to clients
* Generate referrals and introduce clients to other areas of the firm
* Follow Astute processes and policies
* Work within FCA rules and the firm’s compliance policies
* Proactively create, manage and follow through prospects to build a pipeline of prospective new clients
* Collect fees and premiums in accordance with the firm’s processes
* Build strong working relationships with your immediate team and all stakeholders; network with suppliers and clients
* Achieve assigned sales targets
What we’re looking for
* Previous experience as a Senior Commercial Account Handler or New Business Executive (ideally 5 years in the industry)
* Strong understanding of commercial insurance products
* Experience of working to high FCA compliance standards
* Proven track record of target achievement and business growth
* IT skills including use of an insurance IT system (ideally Acturis or OpenGI)
* High level of accuracy
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and insurers
* Regulatory and compliance awareness
* Willingness to work towards Cert CII or hold relevant qualifications
* Full UK Driving licence and willingness to attend client visits regularly
