Estates Maintenance Manager (Hillingdon Hospital)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join The Hillingdon Hospital as a Estates Maintenance Manager.
It is an exciting time to join the Trust as it is also part of the new hospitals programme.
Main duties of the job
* To ensure the continuity of all electrical, mechanical and building site services at The Hillingdon Hospital site by the implementation of maintenance regimes which enable the Trust to demonstrate compliance with its statutory obligations and anticipate service failures allowing corrective action to be taken in advance.
* Direct line management of the in-house Estates Maintenance multi-skilled workforce at the Hillingdon Hospital site.
* Direct line management of the Estates Maintenance Supervisor, Estates Maintenance Administrator, Estates Maintenance Helpdesk Coordinator (Hillingdon Hospital) and Estates Maintenance Stores Person.
* To manage and oversee the performance of the in-house Estates Maintenance multi-skilled workforce at the Hillingdon Hospital site in regard to work orders being attended to and completed within the SLA allocated.
* Undertake Authorised Person responsibilities, in line with Health Technical Memoranda, for relevant engineering elements.
* To efficiently manage the Estates Maintenance budgets and control expenditure on stores and reactive maintenance which will be regularly reviewed by the Head of Estates Maintenance and Deputy Head of Maintenance.
* Support/cover for the Estates Officer (Mechanical), Estates Officer (Electrical), and Estates Officer (Buildings) as and when required with specific tasks being designated/assigned which are acceptable to the level of competency of the post holder.
* Deputise for the Deputy Head of Estates Maintenance.

Person Specification
Person Spec
* HND/HNC in Engineering or Building related subjects, plus specialist knowledge acquired through.
* Leadership & Management Qualifications (CMI or ILM)
* City and Guilds Engineering qualification
* Ordinary National Certificate or Equivalent in an Engineering discipline (Electrical/Mechanical)
* Experience in management of Supervisors, Administrators and multi-skilled trade staff.
* Good understanding of Building Services Engineering systems
* Experience across mechanical, plumbing and building trades
* Building & Engineering services knowledge. Good organisational skills, computer literate. Must be reliable hard working and dedicated.
* Ability to organise motivate and manage a multi-skilled workforce
* Bachelors/Master's Degree or Equivalent in an Engineering discipline (Electrical/Mechanical)
* Authorised person MGPS (HTM 02)
* Authorised person HVAC (HTM 03)
* Authorised person LV (HTM 06-02)
* Authorised person lift maintenance (HTM 08-02 & LOLER & SAFed)
* Experience in working within an NHS Environment
* Experience in working with financial procurement systems
* Practical skills in electrical and mechanical fields.
