In this hands-on role, you'll be running manual milling and turning machines to produce precision components and bespoke parts for specialist machinery. Working from engineering drawings and customer briefs, you'll play a key role in bringing complex mechanical solutions to life, helping clients solve real-world problems by designing and fabricating tailored machinery.
This is an opportunity for experienced Manual Machinist with milling and turning expertise, looking to join a supportive team where your craftsmanship is valued, your input matters, and you can enjoy a low-stress, flexible working environment.
In this role you will be given technical drawings and have full autonomy on how you wish to bring these to life. You are in charge of your hours and days per week that you want to work, with fully support from the senior management team.
The Role:
Operate manual milling and turning machines to produce high-precision, bespoke components.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings to meet tight tolerances and client specifications.
Collaborate with engineers to solve mechanical challenges and support the creation of custom machinery.
Mon-Fri, Flexi hours, days-based role.The Person:
Proven experience in manual milling and turning, with a strong background in precision machining.
Confident reading and interpreting technical/engineering drawings and working to fine tolerances.
Commutable to Burton-upon-Trent.
