The Role: SHEQ Officer
Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the Company's Health and Safety policy, ensuring compliance with legislation for both the Company and its Contractors. The SHEQ Officer investigates incidents, accidents, and near misses, conducts site audits and produces risk assessments, monitors Safe Work Procedures, and handles related administrative tasks, including writing Construction Phase Plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attend sites for audits, inspections and safety tours
* Complete project CDM documentation such as Construction Phase Plans
* Write and review risk assessments, ensuring measures to control risks are implemented and monitored
* Provide health and safety advice and support on the site project and assist the project team in achieving project goals
* Ensuring contractor safety management arrangements are established and implemented
* Promote environmental awareness to employees, subcontractor and all persons in the site vicinity and stress to all employees and visitors the importance senior management places on safe work practices and environmental protection
* Ensuring environmental and quality requirements are met
* Investigation and formal recording and reporting of accidents, incidents and NCR’s throughout the wider business
* Co-ordinate the Authorisation process in alignment with LRQA expectations
Experience & Qualities:
Essential:
* Qualified to NEBOSH General level
* Excellent analytical, communication and report writing skills
* Ability to work independently and manage own working environment
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Google applications
* Knowledge and experience of the application of the CDM Regulation 2015
* Experience of implementing Health and Safety in a technical, complex industrial environment such as utilities, civils or construction
Desirable:
* Qualified to NEBOSH Construction level
* Fire Prevention Certificate
* Exposure to and understanding of implementation of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
* Environmental and/or Quality qualification
* Knowledge of the implementation of LRQA’s Competence Authorisation Process
* IOSH Membership – Technical Level

* Full Time, Permanent role
* Salary: £50,000
* Monday – Friday 8:30am – 17:00pm (40 hours per week)
