Overview
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking individuals with enthusiasm, flexibility and commitment to join our pharmacy division as Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
* Engage in medicines management duties at ward level, such as medicines reconciliation, assessing patients' own medications and ordering medications.
* Provide a high-quality dispensing service for all patients within the Trust.
* Undertake rotations at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital, Trafford General Hospital, and North Manchester General Hospital. Base site preference will be asked at interview but is not guaranteed.
* Participate in day release to achieve the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practices for Pharmacy Technicians. This is a demanding role requiring study both in work and in your own time, with an expectation to dedicate at least 10 hours each week to facilitate the completion of your studies. You will receive full support from an Educational Supervisor and qualified pharmacy assessors.

Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs grades A-C/4-9, which must include Maths, English Language and TWO science subjects preferably Chemistry and Biology (dual or combined accepted).
* If you do not possess a Science GCSE but have completed a Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Services and have at least two years of pharmacy experience, you are still eligible to apply and if successful at interview you will need to undergo an additional science assessment to confirm eligibility.
