Job Description:
Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, South Parks Road, Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Oxford as an Apprentice Services Technician working at the forefront of medical science and development. Your responsibilities include preparing for and assisting with practical medical classes, working in the Services Team with six other staff members, autoclaving, media preparation, sterilisation of lab equipment, and operating various machines. You will support 34 research labs and classes at the Medical Sciences Teaching Centre. Full training will be provided.
About the Apprenticeship
As part of this role, you will undertake a two-year level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship standard with CSR Scientific Training, leading to a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Applied Science or a Level 4 HNC, depending on your previous academic background. The apprenticeship involves working at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology in Oxford, with weekly online lectures.
