Freelance Setting Out Engineer - Tuddenham, Suffolk
Are you an experienced Setting Out Engineer looking for your next highways project? We're seeking a skilled and reliable freelance professional to join a project in the Tuddenham area. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role on a significant highways scheme.
The Role
As the Setting Out Engineer, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the project is delivered accurately and to the highest standards. Your main duties will include:
Setting out, levelling, and surveying the site using precision instruments to map out structural boundaries, including roads, drainage, and other infrastructure.
Interpreting technical drawings and plans to accurately translate design information to the site.
Checking ground and excavation levels to ensure all work is in line with specifications.
Working closely with the site team to solve technical problems and ensure the project progresses on schedule.
Maintaining a high level of quality control and adherence to health and safety protocols.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in highways construction. You must have:
Significant experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering projects, specifically highways.
A valid CSCS Card.
A valid SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.

Duration: Freelance/Contract basis
Rate: £350 per day
