In your role as an Assistant Psychologist at HMP Guys Marsh, you will support and enhance the professional psychological care of offenders. Responsibilities include providing psychological assessments and interventions under supervision, working independently as per a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist, and assisting with administrative tasks, audits, research projects, and teaching.
You will deliver psychological therapy services to service users at HMP Guys Marsh. You will be part of an integrated mental health team within the prison, offering a range of psychological services from self-help resources to individual and group therapies. The team operates within a trauma-informed care model, supporting prison staff through teaching, training, and consultation.
