Location: Stirling Public School

Start Date: Immediately

End Date: November 25, 2026

JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the school administration, the Office Assistant - Elementary will perform secretarial duties as assigned, which may include any or all of the following: reception, word processing, filing, duplicating, processing mail and ensuring integrity of information is maintained.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure Safe School Arrival by confirming attendance and monitoring attendance patterns.
* Perform receptionist’s duties by welcoming and verifying visitors to the school and providing assistance and information to students, staff, parents, HPEDSB personnel and community members.
* Organize, maintain and update student records using the student database.
* Enroll new students, and register and prepare transfer documents for students.


QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum one-year college diploma or equivalent to obtain clerical skills.
* Minimum one-year of professional experience in a related environment
* Demonstrated experience working with technology and utilizing office software (ie. Google), experience with ASPEN is an asset.
* Demonstrated experience working in an office, with experience multitasking and prioritizing.
* Demonstrated experience communicating with various parties such as students, employees, families, etc.
* Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Background check.
