EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW We have an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Operations department as a Distribution Service Technician. Within this role youll be a key player in ensuring a constant supply of high-quality drinking water through the operation and maintenance of our underground water network. This role involves inspecting, improving, operating, and repairing our assets to meet customer needs. Youll focus on resolving issues promptly, managing customer expectations, and ensuring a resilient network. Safety is paramount, and youll be expected to carry out risk assessments and comply with statutory standards.
Youll be based at our Staverton site and youll work within our Customer Operations department. With this being such a critical role, were looking for someone who can join us 40 hours a week, working a shift pattern, including a range of shift patterns including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Trace mains and apparatus, perform valve operations, assess future repair locations, and promote network improvements.
* Conduct proactive asset checks, meet service level agreements, and take personal ownership of customer issues.
* Work safely by carrying out risk assessments and complying with statutory standards.
* Support delivery of a resilient water network and excellent customer service.

What you’ll bring to the role
* Strong background in customer-facing roles with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
* Experience in a utility-based industry is advantageous, especially in problem-solving and repairs.
* Proficiency in IT and computer literacy; excellent communication skills to explain technical information clearly to stakeholders.
* Ability to handle operational problems calmly, with a positive outlook, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Adaptability, quick decision-making, and a knack for problem-solving.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Character, positivity, and a caring attitude; diverse backgrounds are welcomed.

* Salary - £31,910 - £35,455 (dependent on experience).
