Job Description
As the Lead Systems Test Engineer, you will oversee electrical testing of rotating machines and power generation systems for the Marine sector. You will support product testing from inquiry to project closure, ensuring solutions are tested safely and cost-effectively through hands-on and office activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Electrical testing of rotating machine systems from order receipt to customer handover.
* Verification & validation of functional and transversal requirements.
* Support installation, commissioning, testing, fault finding, and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems.
* Collaborate with the design team to meet project goals (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
* Material and sample testing, test house coordination.
* Participation in plant control room operations and data acquisition.
* Supervise and manage subcontractors during project phases.
* Propose and implement improvements in internal processes, tools, and systems.
* Maintain high standards of Environmental Health and Safety.
* Integrate large electro-mechanical systems for testing.
* Participate in phase reviews, design reviews, ILS reviews, FMEA.
* Produce quality test reports adhering to standards.
Essential Requirements
* Qualification in electrical engineering or significant testing experience.
* Sole British citizenship with a valid UK Passport.
* EHS and First Aid certification.
* Authorized Person Electrical Low Voltage (APLV).
* Proven electro-mechanical systems testing experience.
* Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
Desirable Skills
* High-Voltage testing experience.
* Project management or planning experience.
* Experience with active magnetic bearings.
This role may require background checks and security vetting (UK BPSS or SC clearance).
