* Starting salary - £46,813. Salary at 12 months - £48,813 + potential to earn an additional £2k local bonus for this site = first year earnings up to £50,813 + benefits that include quarterly bonus, private pension & medical insurance.

* Minimum of 12 months post‑qualification & registration experience, practicing as a clinician for the last 12 months in the UK, seeking a role to use clinical skills without stepping away from the profession.

What you’ll be doing each day
* Carry out functional assessments with claimants face to face, via video & telephone to assess their ability to undertake activities of daily living.
* Ask focused questions and use active listening and critical reasoning to gather accurate information.
* Produce high quality, structured clinical reports on all claimants you assess, for submission to the DWP.
* Review evidence, request and evaluate additional evidence when required and clinically triage cases to determine the correct assessment pathway.
* Work alongside other highly experienced clinical colleagues to ensure high-quality & fair assessments for all claimants.
Who Were Looking For
* NMC-registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC-registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics.
With excellent communication & critical-thinking skills, the ability to type and confidence using computers.

* Is open to a formalised programme of training to become a DWP approved Functional Assessor.
* Is receptive to ongoing constructive feedback, ensuring claimants continually get the very best experience.
* Has confidence in their ability to use computers and learn different software packages to complete detailed, high-quality reports for all claimants assessed.
* Thrives in a structured environment with the opportunity to use clinical skills in a different way.
This role may not be the best match for you if:
* You are not comfortable or are unfamiliar with technology.
* You dislike writing detailed reports.
* You prefer a more hands-on approach to clinical care.
* You are not looking for a new direction in your clinical career or retraining into a new role.
* You do not enjoy working in an environment with targets.
* You are not looking for a role that requires you to work on site for 3 days a week.
